What is a Claude skill?
A skill is a small folder of instructions that Claude, the AI assistant from Anthropic, can load when a task fits. Think of it as a recipe for one job: drawing a logo, reviewing code, formatting a document. Claude reads the recipe and follows it.
What is Hire or Fire?
I test skills and projects that other people built and give each one a verdict. Hire means it earns a place in my toolbox. Fire means it does not, and I explain why. I decide the verdict, never the AI.
Glossary
Skill
A folder of instructions (and sometimes scripts) that teaches Claude one specific job.
Repository, or repo
A project folder on GitHub where the code and its history live.
Claude Code
Anthropic's coding tool. It runs in the terminal or as a desktop app and can use skills.
Verdict
My decision after a test: Hire or Fire.
